THE MIDAS TOUCH SKIN

You can definitely use essential oil if you like! Keep in mind, certain essential oils can cause irritation to the skin. For instance, cinnamon leaf essential oil can cause irritation if too much is used. Learn more about our essential oils in the descriptions on Bramble Berry: -Oils-C157.aspx

For me personally I have oily skin and when my skin is dehydrated it becomes oiler. I start to see this excess oil around midday and if I am wearing makeup it will literally slide and melt off my face and leave me looking like I need a good wash.

This luxe brand relies on top-notch ingredients to protect skin against free radical damage and boost hydration. With nano-gold technology, this cream is sends a big does of active ingredients directly to skin.

As men and women are collectively taking much better care of their skin these days (say goodbye to the days of baby oil and tin-foil-tanning), the options for skincare products are overwhelming. Dermaplaning is becoming an easy and enjoyable (is that just me?) part of at-home skincare routines and Tik Tok is full of serums that promise to reduce wrinkles and fine-lines. People are spray-tanning more and actively protecting their precious skin from the potentially-damaging UV rays. We are now much wiser when it comes to both skin care and skin damage and that is a beautiful thing.

Still, men and women take much better care of their skin these days than they ever have before, and the options for doing so are seemingly limitless. In fact, the quantity of options for skin care that are available today can be overwhelming. Dermaplaning is becoming an easy and enjoyable (is that just me?) part of at-home skincare routines, and Tik Tok is full of serums that promise to reduce wrinkles and fine-lines. People are spray-tanning more and real-tanning less. Say goodbye to the days of baby oil and tin-foil-tanning, people now actively protect their skin from damaging UV rays. In short, we are much wiser when it comes to both skin care and skin damage and that is a beautiful thing.

With a strong affiliation to the healing waters of Budapest and an irresistible penchant for the luxurious qualities of gold, the Omorovicza family has lovingly created a skin care range which is simply luminous.

Sunflower does not need a big intro as you probably use it in the kitchen as cooking oil, or you munch on the seeds as a healthy snack or you adore its big, beautiful yellow flower during the summer - or you do all of these and probably even more. And by even more we mean putting it all over your face as sunflower oil is one of the most commonly used plant oils in skincare.

Our intro did get pretty big after all (sorry for that), so let's get to the point finally: sunflower oil - similar to other plant oils - is a great emollient that makes the skin smooth and nice and helps to keep it hydrated. It also protects the surface of the skin and enhances the damaged or irritated skin barrier. Leslie Bauman notes in Cosmetic Dermatology that one application of sunflower oil significantly speeds up the recovery of the skin barrier within an hour and sustains the results 5 hours after using it.

It's also loaded with fatty acids (mostly linoleic (50-74%) and oleic (14-35%)). The unrefined version (be sure to use that on your skin!) is especially high in linoleic acid that is great even for acne-prone skin. Its comedogen index is 0, meaning that it's pretty much an all skin-type oil.

A clear, colorless, almost odorless oil that spreads nicely and easily and gives a velvet dry skin feel. It is good friends with sunscreen agents and helps to solubilize them. Also, it makes sunscreens feel lighter and spread easier.

An extremely common multitasker ingredient that gives your skin a nice soft feel (emollient) and gives body to creams and lotions. It also helps to stabilize oil-water mixes (emulsions), though it does not function as an emulsifier in itself. Its typical use level in most cream type formulas is 2-3%.

Other than having a good safety profile and being quite gentle to the skin it has some other advantages too. It can be used in many types of formulations as it has great thermal stability (can be heated up to 85C) and works on a wide range of pH levels (ph 3-10).

It dissolves in water and can make a thin, elastic, and moisture-absorbing film when spread on the skin that can cause an instant tightening effect. It can also be used as a thickener to get a silicone-like feel and can be used in peel-off masks. Btw, it's made from fungus via fermentation.

Like most essential oils, it contains antioxidant and antimicrobial components, but the main ones are fragrant constituents (like geraniol and citronellol). Be careful with it, if your skin is sensitive.

The essential oil coming from the rind of the orange (the sweet one). In general, the main component of citrus peel oils is limonene (83-97% for sweet orange peel), a super common fragrant ingredient that makes everything smell nice (but counts as a frequent skin sensitizer).

If you have spotted ethylhexylglycerin on the ingredient list, most probably you will see there also the current IT-preservative, phenoxyethanol. They are good friends because ethylhexylglycerin can boost the effectiveness of phenoxyethanol (and other preservatives) and as an added bonus it feels nice on the skin too.

It's a little helper ingredient coming from corn, rice or potato starch that can help to keep skin mat (absorbent), to stabilise emulsions, and to keep the product together (binding).

As far as skincare goes, sodium hyaluronate and hyaluronic acid are pretty much the same and the two names are used interchangeably. As cosmetic chemist kindofstephen writes on reddit "sodium hyaluronate disassociates into hyaluronic acid molecule and a sodium atom in solution".

In spite of this, if you search for "hyaluronic acid vs sodium hyaluronate" you will find on multiple places that sodium hyaluronate is smaller and can penetrate the skin better. Chemically, this is definitely not true, as the two forms are almost the same, both are polymers and the subunits can be repeated in both forms as much as you like. (We also checked Prospector for sodium hyaluronate versions actually used in cosmetic products and found that the most common molecular weight was 1.5-1.8 million Da that absolutely counts as high molecular weight).

If you wanna become a real HA-and-the-skin expert you can read way more about the topic at hyaluronic acid (including penetration-questions, differences between high and low molecular weight versions and a bunch of references to scientific literature).

We are big fans of all kinds of roses as ornamental plants but when it comes to skincare, it is a mixed bag. Before we list out the good and the not so good, here is an interesting thing.

It does smell nice but the problem is that it oxidizes on air exposure and the resulting stuff is not good for the skin. Oxidized limonene can cause allergic contact dermatitis and counts as a frequent skin sensitizer.

Exotic skin luxury accessories manufacturer STALVEY wanted to rock the current fashion trends with an outrageous idea, that will surely help you make a bold statement wherever you might go. Skin picking disorders are part of a collection of body-focused repetitive behaviors. BFRBs are, most generally: repetitive self-grooming behaviors that can and often do lead to physical damage and social impairment. Just some examples of BFRBs include hair pulling, cheek or nail biting, and skin picking.

Instructions for use: Simply paint Bolt Balm on in thin layers to the face, body, and hair. The flatter you lay it to skin the longer it holds (often for 8 hours or longer!). Do NOT use on eyelids or close to eyes. DO NOT use on children or pets. 041b061a72
