Based on the footage provided in the trailer, it appears as though players can expect a good amount of swimming, climbing, jumping, and running as they navigate a hostile alien landscape that would like nothing more than to see them dead. In addition to free movement and environmental hazards, the episodic VR adventure will have you going toe-to-toe with a variety of humanoid and mechanized enemies using an assortment of futuristic weaponry.

The inspiration for the character of Kane can most likely be traced back to Isaac Asimov's 1957 short story "Does a Bee Care?". The story describes the life of a seemingly-immortal alien living on Earth, who subtly influences humanity over the course of millennia to make it progress towards becoming a space-faring race. The alien's only goal in uplifting humanity is to reach space, to progress to the next step in its own life cycle. Notably, the alien in the story is also called "Kane".

As for the martians, they do look pretty cool in their wonderfully constructed full body alien suits, looking more a part of every frame than anything even the best CGI could create. The actors playing the aliens were reportedly all but blind while in full costume, their bulbous heads blocking all vision.
